For the past few weeks, we have been inquiring into AI drones. The transdisciplinary theme was how the world works. Our central idea was people’s choices in using AI drones affects society. The three key concepts were function, responsibility and perspective. First, what are AI drones? AI is a computer system that can perform tasks that usually require human intelligence. Drones are aircrafts that don’t have pilots onboard. AI drones are drones with computer systems that that make them intelligent. Compared to normal drones, AI drones are smarter and don’t need a pilot to guide them. Some things AI drones are capable of doing are: facial recognition, object recognition, GPS tracking and the ability to avoid obstacles.
